Pics of the bike, with a twist.

I decided to try my hand at some amature photography. Since my kids won't sit still long enough, I opted for the Harley. Here are some of the end results. I really like the different angles and how the individual parts have character of their own. Of course, a little help from Photoshop doesn't hurt.

Very cool...I love the one with the close up of the HD Skull. You should blow that one up and frame it!

Mr. RTR: I like the new header photo. I wonder how it would look if you left the flag in color and the bike in black and white? Black and white photos always show contrast better then color. What are you using for a digi-cam? My Sony DSW5 just broke and I’m a bit upset about it. It’s not even four years old. I’m not sure what I will buy next but I have a lot of Memory Sticks so I will probably end up with a Sony again so I don’t have to buy yet another type of memory.

It's a Fuji Finepix. It's about 4 years old. My wife would love a new SLR. The Nikon D40 is a great SLR camera for under $500.00. Still steep, but takes great photos.

This is my long way of saying I'm no judge of photography by any means.

I do agree w/Fasthair though; the new header photo is great. You already know I've adopted the Willie G theme for my Softail, so I really like all the pictures. That's a nice ride you've got there; I'm for seeing more!

In my opinion, quality photography requires at least these five elements.

1.) A decent at best camera.
2.) An artistic eye to capture a photo that's not just a picture, but rather "art".
3.) Balance, (does not have to be symmetrical).
4.) Proper lighting
5.) and good subject matter.

It looks like you've got all of them wrapped up. Nice pics!

P.S., Can't go wrong shootin a Harley!

I use a Fuji FinePix camera also. I think it takes really good shots. I think when it comes to night time or dark pics, film cameras are still the best choice. I have trouble getting the Digitals to look really sharp and focused.

Great header! I love the Flag behind the Harley. Very American!

Thanks, the Finepix I have is the S5000 Digital. It is a lot of fun. The flag behind the bike is just the one I have hanging on my garage wall and I happen to park my bike in front of it, so I just snapped a few pics. I also have a Texas flag in my garage, as any self respecting Texan does.

Those pictures look great...even worth framing and hanging up. I'd love to have a few in my house someday.
